I noticed how hard adoptive people struggle with tracing their birth records which is in fact their statutory right. As a result I worked with Professor Beth Neal at the University of East Anglia and in October 2022 we launched Seeking Connections Research Briefing. This was sent to the Dept for Education who have since been able to contact Regional Adoption Agencies to improve their services to adopted adults. We continue to work on this through the IASA project (Improving Adoption Services for Adopted Adults).
